Budget Database

The two budget databases that can be downloaded below show the allocations of the National Budget as included in the National Budget Laws (since 2000) and the actual expenditures as included in the TOFE and the Budget Settlement Laws (also since 2000). By using these two databases, everyone that has access to the internet can easily use public data and find out what revenues are being collected, how our public resources are allocated and spent by the different line ministries and other Government agencies, and how international donor assistance (recorded in the National Budget) is used.

The individual worksheets in the databases include some notes (written in blue) with reference to the information source and some data issues. Comments and suggestions on these notes are welcome and can be sent to the NGO Forum. Please refer to the "About NGO Forum" section on this website for the relevant contact details.

The following information can be found in the databases:

  •     Expected revenues, by different categories of tax and non-tax revenues;
  •     Expected recurrent expenditures, by line ministry;
  •     Expected capital expenditures, by line ministry;
  •     Actual revenues, broken down by different categories of tax-revenue and non-tax revenue;
  •     Actual recurrent expenditures, by line ministry;
  •     Actual recurrent expenditures, by economic classification;
  •     Actual capital expenditure by line ministry, financed by domestic resources; and
  •     Actual capital expenditure by line ministry, financed by external resources.
